Head of M&A at RelyOn

RelyOn is seeking an experienced Head of M&A to lead and execute our mergers and acquisitions strategy. Located in Copenhagen, this is a high-impact leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, and will play a critical role in shaping RelyOn’s growth trajectory through strategic acquisitions.

About the Role

As Head of M&A, you will be responsible for driving the full M&A lifecycle — from sourcing to post-merger integration. You will act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, board of directors, and manage external advisors and partners. This role requires a proven leader with transactional expertise, strong financial acumen, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. We prefer office work, but occasional remote work is possible. Some travel activity is to be expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end M&A processes (“cradle to grave”) aligned with RelyOn’s strategy

  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities

  • Perform financial modelling, valuation, and risk analysis

  • Manage due diligence processes across legal, financial, and operational dimensions

  • Negotiate deal terms and manage transaction execution

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Legal, Finance, and Operations, as well as external advisors

  • Develop integration strategies and ensure successful post-deal execution

  • Present recommendations and reports to the CEO and the board of directors

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Corporate M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development

  • A proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions from inception to completion, Integration Management experience is a major plus

  • Deep understanding of M&A procedures and best practice

  • Likeable, proactive, self-driven personality with the ability to operate independently

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strategic, analytical and commercial thinker, as well as resourceful problem solver

  • Strong financial toolbox, including analytical and financial modeling skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Fluency in English; Danish is a plus
